Senior Business Development Manager, Education

Convera is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to acquire new business across the education vertical in the United States.

Responsibilities:

Business development and pipeline management for the education vertical
Lead client meetings to present the Convera value proposition and close new business
Collaborate internally with sales and product leadership to deploy innovative global payment solutions
Partner with clients to implement marketing best practices and generate transaction volume
Meet defined business targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Maintain understanding of the global education market and broader business/economic landscape to enhance your ability to meet and anticipate client requirements

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant experience
Sales experience with background in higher education and/or payments industry and/or cross-border payments or a combination is required
Self-starter with a hunter mindset and comfortable working in a remote environment
Strong experience within the fintech industry
Proficient in CRM software including experience managing pipeline through Salesforce
Highly self-motivated and confident, with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition
Contribute a positive team environment and fully embrace diversity.
Fluent in English, and excellent communication/presentation skills across all media
Ability to use all relevant technology (e.g., MS Office, web conferencing, search engines, reporting tools and sales automation platforms such as Salesforce)
Financially astute with knowledge of business needs/concerns, as well as the commercial impact of global news and events

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience selling SaaS products preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in relevant field

Pay Transparency Statement

Convera is committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable U.S. state and local laws. For this position, the expected base salary range is $100,000 - $154,400 per year, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. We use a tiered geographic pay system to ensure fairness across regions. Candidates in high-cost areas may receive higher offers within the posted range.
