We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge drone threat intelligence platform. Using a modern stack that includes React, InertiaJS, and Laravel, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from designing intuitive user experiences to implementing and deploying new features for web and mobile. Your work will directly influence the C-UxS mission and understanding of countering the growing threat of UxS. You will interact with all teams to create and maintain best-in-class platform and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive, intuitive, and high-performance user interfaces using React, InertiaJS, and modern JavaScript.
Contribute to the architecture, design, and development of our drone threat intelligence platform.
Write clean, well-documented, testable & secure code.
Knowledge about secure code or secure coding practices.
Collaborate closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and threat analysts to translate requirements into seamless and visually compelling features.
Integrate with RESTful APIs to display complex data and power platform functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and UI/UX issues.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in frontend development, web/mobile applications, and data visualization.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in software development with a focus on the frontend.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React, and modern frontend frameworks.
Solid experience with PHP and the Laravel framework, ideally in conjunction with InertiaJS.
Proven experience building and deploying responsive web applications.
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Graph DBs).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in the English language.

Nice to haves

Experience with mobile development (e.g., React Native, Swift, Kotlin).
Knowledge of web-based data visualization tools (e.g., Leaflet, D3.js, Recharts).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with threat intelligence concepts or cybersecurity principles.
Prior working background in defence, cyber/threat intelligence, or drone technology.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
