Key Responsibilities

Incident Management
- Handle escalations from L1 and L2 support teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Log and update incidents in the ticketing system with detailed resolution steps.
- Ensure incident resolution within defined SLAs.
System Administration & Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.).
- Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash).
- Manage Ansible playbooks and inventory.
- Configure and maintain user accounts, roles, and permissions (LDAP/Directory Services).
Access & Security Management
- Resolve escalated user access issues, password resets, and permissions.
- Monitor user activity to ensure compliance.
- Enforce and maintain security policies including file/folder permissions.
- Identify potential security threats and escalate to the security team.
Monitoring & Optimization
- Use monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) to proactively detect issues.
- Respond to system alerts and perform root cause analysis.
- Suggest and implement improvements to prevent recurring incidents.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with L3 teams or vendors for advanced troubleshooting.
- Support hardware replacements, advanced configurations, and vendor escalations.
- Create and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows Server (2022) administration.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, networking basics.
Experience with user/group management, backup solutions, and disaster recovery.
Hands-on with system monitoring tools and scripting (Python/Bash).
Proficiency with Ansible (playbooks, inventory management).
Experience with storage configurations (LVM, NFS, Samba).
Hands-on experience in VM management (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex issues quickly.
Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration and vendor coordination.
