Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Social Media & Content Specialist to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Mappes Farms' online presence, crafting engaging content, and building relationships with our loyal customers through social media channels. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to create compelling, authentic narratives that showcase our products, values, and the story behind Mappes Farms Meat Market.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management: Manage and grow Mappes Farms' social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest, creating engaging and informative content that resonates with our audience.
Content Creation: Develop high-quality written, visual, and video content that highlights our products, seasonal promotions, behind-the-scenes farm life, recipes, and more.
Engagement & Community Building: Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages on social platforms in a friendly and timely manner. Foster a strong sense of community by engaging with our audience.
Campaign Execution: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, contests, and seasonal initiatives to drive engagement and increase sales.
Photography & Videography: Capture and create visually appealing content showcasing our meats, products, farm events, and staff, ensuring high-quality visuals that align with our brand.
Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a content calendar that ensures a consistent and strategic posting schedule across all social media platforms.
Influencer & Partnership Outreach: Collaborate with local food influencers, chefs, and community members to increase brand visibility and drive traffic to our website and store.
Analytics & Reporting: Track the performance of social media campaigns and content, providing regular reports on engagement, traffic, and ROI. Use insights to adjust strategies and improve future campaigns.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing (food industry experience is a plus).
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Insights).
- Basic photography and video editing skills (experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools preferred).
- A creative mindset with an eye for detail and design.
Passion for Food & Community: A strong passion for farm-to-table, local food, and storytelling. Familiarity with the food industry, sustainable farming, and local sourcing is a plus.
